TriaVision and VisionFirst Join Forces to Expand Eye Care Across Alabama

houseEmily Williamson Nov 17, 2025

TriaVision, one of Alabama’s fastest-growing vision care groups, is welcoming VisionFirst, a leading eye care practice with nearly 30 years of history and five locations, into its statewide network. The integration brings all VisionFirst clinics and providers under the TriaVision brand, strengthening the organization’s reach and expanding world-class vision care access for the patients of Alabama.

After decades of service as UAB faculty members, 14 former UAB Callahan Eye Hospital doctors founded TriaVision in 2024. Since this landmark transition, TriaVision has rapidly expanded its independent, collaborative vision care model. Today, the organization’s 25 ophthalmologists and optometrists represent the alignment of some of the most experienced eye surgeons and clinicians in the state, providing more than 100,000 patient visits and nearly 9,000 sight-preserving surgeries annually across 13 locations.

The alliance further advances TriaVision’s investment in surgical innovation, including its new state-of-the-art ophthalmic Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). This ASC will deliver advanced cataract and vision correction procedures, ensuring patients have seamless access to both clinic and surgical services within one integrated system.

VisionFirst leadership expressed that joining TriaVision strengthens their long-standing commitment to patient care by pairing familiar physician relationships with enhanced technology, collaboration, and advanced treatment options.

TriaVision will transition all VisionFirst locations to the TriaVision brand by March 1, 2026.
